主要研究方向为磁性薄膜材料与自旋电子学器件。针对磁随机存储器向高速、高密度、低功耗和非易失性的发展趋势,开展反铁磁自旋电子学材料和磁性薄膜材料的多场调控(电场、电流和光)的研究工作。主持或参与包括国家基金委优秀青年科学基金项目和国家重点研发计划“战略电子材料”重点专项等在内的国家科研项目7项,在领域内重要国内外会议和单位做邀请报告40余次。在Nature Mater., Nat. Commun., Phys. Rev. Lett., Adv. Mater. Prog. Mater. Sci. 和Mater. Sci. & Eng. R.,等期刊上发表学术论文160余篇,SCI引用>4700次,H因子37。(共同)指导的学生有四人次获得捷报比分足球即时比分特等奖学金和“学术新秀”称号。
